Travel to the Yukon to witness the spectacular northern lights. To the north an eerie, sulfurous-green sheen begins to ripple into the night sky. It arcs itself into an ebb and flow, slowly growing, then suddenly bursts across the full expanse of the night sky waving and dancing as if it were happy. It’s the spectacular and mystical Northern Lights and viewings such as the one above are common in the Yukon.

Take your time for fitting the winter clothing (optional), shopping and dinner on your own. This evening at around 9.30 pm transfer to the Aurora viewing cabin. A cozy, heated cabin or wall tent with hot drinks and snacks makes your Aurora viewing even more enjoyable. Return to hotel around 2.00 am.

Miod afternoon transfer included to the Northern Lights Resort & Spa. Relax, unwind and soak up the peaceful ambiance.

Located just 20 minutes south of Whitehorse, this little piece of paradise is the Yukon´s newest get-away destination - a hideaway located in a quiet open countryside close to the Yukon River, surrounded by pine forests and ringed by mountains. Built from massive Douglas Fir and to meet European standards by your German-Canadian hosts, the 3,600 sq/ft lodge features a luxurious great room for guest gathering, relaxing, breakfast and dinner use with a dramatic panoramic view of the Yukon River valley and the mountain range. Guests stay in cozy guest rooms with large en-suite bathroom in the lodge or in well-appointed 320 sq/ft. cottages featuring a large living/bedroom with fireplace, an adjacent kitchen and an en-suite bathroom. The spa & wellness area is located in the main building and features a Finnish sauna, infrared sauna, whirlpool, rest room and a room for massage treatments. The surroundings are perfect for relaxing in the guest lounge, the large deck or the privacy of your own cottage, enjoying the spectacular views of the Northern Lights in winter. The open area surrounding the lodge allows unobscured views of the soaring Aurora!

After the dinner make sure to stay up to view the mystical Aurora Borealis. Watch them dancing either from the hot tub, the open field or from the cozy inside – you will have a great outlook towards North from anywhere. (Dinner included today)

Day 3 Day at Leisure & Evening Aurora Viewing Wake up to a healthy European-style breakfast and spend your day relaxing in the lodge in front of the fireplace. Talk with your host about breakfast times. Since you will be up late the night before, you may not want to have breakfast too early. Go snowshoeing, or plan a day out dogsledding (optional tours).
