This is Alaska’s second large cruise ship port serviced by such lines as Princess Cruises and Norwegian Cruises. This small town of under 200 permanent residents is a gateway into some of Alaska’s most iconic attractions and scenery.

From Whittier, connection into Alaska’s largest city Anchorage and the interior of Alaska can be by road or on the Alaska Railroad, both sharing the Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel. This journey is a highlight in itself as you travel through a Swiss Chalet like structure for 2.5miles through narrow passes cut into the mountain.

Whittier also serves as the port for the Alaska Marine Highway ferries to Valdez.
