Juneau Shore Excursion | Mendenhall Glacier Float Trip
INTRODUCTION
Enjoy this exciting yet gentle introduction to white water rafting in Alaska! The tour begins with a scenic drive to Mendenhall Lake, where you will suit up with gear and board an 8 to 12 passenger raft.
Your professional guide will explain the natural phenomena at work in the valley as you float past Mendenhall Glacier, icebergs and towering peaks.
During the float, you will encounter stretches of moderate rapids that add excitement to the trip.
Oh, and don't forget to keep an eye out for wildlife! You never know what could be grazing along the banks of the river.
Tour Includes:
- Roundtrip transportation
- Life jackets, rain jackets, rain pants, boots
- Snacks, Water and apple cider, crackers, smoked salmon spread, cheese, and veggie sticks
- Beer, Martha’s Mendenhall Madness Punch, and soda are available for purchase at the end of the trip.
